Brian Zied started his career in the financial services industry, working in Investment Banking at Bear Stearns and then as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager for equity hedge funds including Omega Advisors and Maverick Capital. He was the Founder and CEO of Charter Bridge Capital, a long-short equity hedge fund focused on consumer, media, and technology investments. Brian also served as a long time board member of KIPP NYC Charter Schools, and later served as Chief Financial Officer.  Brian was responsible for financial systems upgrades during his time at KIPP and also worked on bond financings for three significant building projects being undertaken at that time. In addition, he was a board member of Education Reform Now and is presently a board member of StudentsFirstNY.  He joined Zeta in the summer of 2023 where he is leading scaling efforts in long-term financial planning, annual budgeting, accounting and compliance. Brian graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in its Management & Technology dual degree program, earning a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A.S. from the Moore School of Engineering.
