Jessica Sie

Chief Academic Officer

Jessica Sie is an experienced educator and manager who leads with passion and dedication. Ms. Sie began her career teaching elementary school for six years in Denver, Colorado. After moving to New York City to join Success Academy as a teacher in 2011, she went on to serve in the roles of Director of Literacy and History, School Manager, and Head of Education Institute Program Management. As the Director of Literacy and History, Ms. Sie led the development of curriculum and assessments, instructional guidance, and training across the network’s 47 schools. Throughout her six years leading the literacy program, Success Academy consistently achieved results in the top 3% of New York state, with 90% of students passing the state’s ELA exam in the spring of 2019. In her roles at Success Academy, Ms. Sie managed a cohort of elementary and middle school principals and led program management efforts to orchestrate academic priorities across the organization, achieving outcomes at scale for over 20,000 students. At Zeta, Ms. Sie is leading our academics program to design next-generation schools that develop lifelong learners who are prepared academically and from a whole child perspective to innovate, solve problems, and embrace their future potential. Ms. Sie received a M.A. in Literacy, Language, and Culturally Responsive Teaching from the University of Colorado Denver and has earned teaching certifications in K-6 Elementary Education, K-12 Linguistically Diverse Education, and as a K-12 Reading Teacher.
