Jessie M. Ferguson has dedicated the majority of her career to improving educational outcomes for high-needs students, both as an attorney and as an educator. A member of Zeta’s founding team, Ms. Ferguson provides legal and strategic advice to facilitate Zeta’s growth and expansion. Ms. Ferguson started her legal career practicing in the Executive Compensation group at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York City, where she represented publicly traded and privately held companies in corporate transactions, public offerings, and general compliance matters. She also previously served as Legal Counsel for Success Academy Charter Schools, a high-performing public charter school network in New York City, as well as Head of Legal at TaskHuman, a global online coaching startup. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ms. Ferguson taught preschool at a Head Start program in California as a Teach For America corps member. Ms. Ferguson received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.A. in Music and Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College.
